Bear Bryant. Someone we haven’t even been talking about. And why??
-Arguably the GOAT
-Only been dead for 41 years. Not that old, just need to bring him back to life somehow.
-Would absolutely burn up Alabama fans.
-Houndstooth would look bad arse in Purple and gold.
Makes way too much sense.

He didn't have the advantage of a playoff or BCS Saban had. Sort of like how Jimmy Johnson went on a tear under the Chase format when it was much harder to win those titles under the old format.

Bryant is the reason Cholly Mac was fired at LSU and he felt horrible about it. Got Cholly the executive director of the Tangerine Bowl job at double what LSU was paying him. Bryant would do anything for his former players who he thought earned it.

Yep! The biggest joke going around LA in late 1982:
"Hey- did you hear Bear Bryant got arrested for attacking his wife??
He asked her for the time- and she answered 'Oh, it's 20 to 10.....'"

He was a hell of a coach and a living legend, for sure.
