Chuck Schumer just declared war on Trump's political future.
The Senate Minority Leader called tonight's results a full repudiation of MAGA, claiming Americans rejected the "cruelty, chaos, and greed" that's skyrocketing costs:
"If Republicans want to keep blindly following Donald Trump into the abyss of chaos, let them.
The rest of America is moving forward."
Schumer's betting Democratic momentum holds through midterms.
Virginia, NYC, Pittsburgh all stayed blue.
Republicans got humiliated. But it's November 2025.

Trump is simply the lamest of lame ducks. If Trump really wanted the government shutdown to end, he would have met with Senate leaders from both parties and not adjourned until a continuing resolution was passed. Now I see nothing but broadscale chaos on the horizon. And I do think the Trump effect led to a larger defeat of Republican candidates in NJ, NY and Virginia than what was predicted
