I’m sure one of the interested teams would have at least given us a 3rd if we got a 4th and 5th for Shaheed, who I hate losing but it had to be done. We are in no position to be paying any of ohr skill positions more than bargain FA pickups and draft picks on rookie deals. Shaheed was going to command
$10+ million a year this offseason and we would be fools to pay until we got our QB, OL and DL situation figured out. I hope Shaheed balls out and gets that nice 2nd deal. If you can look past the liberal hippies then Seattle is also a great part of the country to live in.

I want to trade him too but trading him AND Shaheed when you’re trying to evaluate your “rookie” QB would be pretty wild.

Olave has another year on his deal. He can be traded during the offseason or next deadline. Shaheed cannot.

Exactly. It’s not complicated. We were not giving him away with another year left. You have to have a trade partner. Some don’t realize this lol

Why would the Saints trade Olave? He's their best WR and they value him as a franchise WR.

The only stupidity I see here is that the saints value Olave as a franchise WR. And the Saints can't trade him cause no one is dumb enough to trade for a sorry arse wr that can't catch and gets concussed from a brisk wind

I think a lot of people forget about Ja'lynn Polk and Trey Palmer who the added before the season with expectation that would be contributors on 2026. (both recovering form injuries.) Also I still think Bub Means can develop. All are young but I'm certain they are going to look to add a bonified #1 WR thin off season.

Trade Olave in the offseason when teams have cap available. Make him available before the draft. Take whatever you can get of value. Teams will have interest especially a competing team that can play him as a 2.

We dont want to admit we trade 3 picks for a #2 receiver. We will overpay him rather than admit that. I am impreeed they admitted how horrible the Penning pick was--Jalen Carter right were given up for him.

FO wont admit they may have gave up too much for a Average Reciever who hasnt stayed healthy a full season.
