5.9$ at Louisville.
Throw a couple more mill at him
NFL Qb
Coached under the Petrinos (amongst many others)
His offenses set school records at every stop.
He’s been a playcaller, Qb coach his entire career.
2× C-USA Championships (2015, 2016)
2× C-USA East Division champion (2015, 2016)
Big Ten West Division champion (2022)
Recently beat 2 playoff level teams on the road in 2024 Clemson and 25 Miami.
Hell, he took Perdue to the Big 10 champ game.
His offensive acumen would help oversee/turtor multiple offensive positions. You’re essentially getting an OC & HC.

He’s due a raise/extension. I think his name being on a few lists is just his agent trying to create urgency to get a new deal.
But he grew up in Louisville, grew up a Louisville fan and played there.
I would be surprised if he left but if LSU or Auburn throws 8-10 million at him it would be hard to turn that down. Then Louisville would hire Will Stein from Oregon

Born and raised in Louisville, not happening

rather dilly dilly all day

I understand his Louisville ties make him a hard pull. However, ACC champ game appearance is pretty much the zenith for that program. Perhaps he wants to give it a whirl amongst the big boys.

I don't think I could tolerate having a coach grown men refer to as dilly dilly. Or Drink for that matter.

who gives a frick what you tolerate so long as we are winning?
this is the problem, idiots get caught up in stupid shite like that instead of....does the guy have what it takes to win at LSU?

He would be an excellent hire

Too smart to come to LSU. He can win just as much at Louisville and be a hero.

Idk.
since 2016 he’s had 2 top 35 offenses
His offenses at Purdue were mediocre to fricking terrible
He has cracked the top 30
in scoring offense 1 time since 2016

Some chatter about Brohm from Auburn circles.
His tires have been kicked before by people involved and there is ongoing interest supposedly from prior searches. No idea whether he'd leave Louisville, but the reality is that Louisville really will be capped in what he can do and supposedly they're already not living up to some of the investments promised.
Seems most likely he just uses it to squeeze more from his school, but at least with AU, there is some history there apart from agents seeking leverage.

Great finds. I incorrectly thought his offenses were much more prolific than that. If he had to go against SEC defenses every week…even lower stats.

Lol he is the king of Louisville. Whole family played there. I would be more than shocked if he left.

Honestly, I struggle seeing the value of a guy like Brohm at LSU
Auburn needs a cultural reboot and a consistent winner, even if the ceiling is lower than CFP title. You guys just fired a perennial 10 win coach. I know there were other issues like Kelly being insufferable, but still. I would think Brohm wouldn't provide the high ceiling you all are looking for at this point.

Was run out from Purdue! Fine as a mid major guy or lower power five. Not SEC material.

If I was Brohm, I would stay at Louisville. I’m already making good money. I’m a former student. I have something good going. You go to these other schools and they are firing coaches that’s averaging 9 wins. No way I would leave a job making 6 million with job security winning 8 or 9 games a year in an easier conference. If I jump to lsu or a Florida making 9 million and avg 8 or 9 wins, I might get fired in 3 years.

Not even close
Dude made a B1G championship game at Purdue, turned down multiple jobs waiting on Louisville to come open. Don't pretend this dude ain't a good coach.

He's not leaving Louisville. Like somebody said, born and raised. All his family is there, he played there and coached there before for 8 years. Hell the dude coached an Arena football team there and also coached Western Kentucky for 3 years. Also, he's 54, not 34. He is exactly where he wants to finish out his time.
I mean I like him, and he would stabilize LSU, but i don't think for a second that he is the coach that can take LSU to the heights it needs.
