The more likely it is Lane Kiffin. You won't hear a peep from his agent or him until after they are eliminated or they finish the CFB playoff.
It would be dumb if it is him to hear anything anytime before that. It would be a massive distraction.

You'll hire a university president first.
Then an AD.
Then a HC.
If LSU doesn't do it in this order then the disfunction will be a shitshow and stack the deck against your incoming HC. And no one currently employed will be taking a job prior to the end of the regular season.

The board has already announced that locking down a coach will be prioritized over hiring an AD.
