An actual coffee roaster calls BS.

In full:

Coffee prices have not surged 25 percent.

We only charge one dollar more per pound than a year ago.

If tariffs on things we can’t produce here (coffee) strengthen our economy then we may have to pay a little more.

Luckily we are paying less for gas and some other things.

Making our country better is going to require some sacrifice.

Luckily it won’t be near to as much as our founding forefathers sacrificed to provide us with the keys to this republic.

Quit whining and go start winning.

So one coffee company that no one has ever heard of is the arbiter of all truth?

You might want to look up the actual stats on coffee prices and not what one company says

Spoiler alert: They're up significantly

I have no idea what the price at the grocery is, but the price for my daily 4 shot espresso at SB has not changed in the last two years.

Don’t have to.

I’ve been buying the same coffee pods from Olie’s for the same price for the last year and a half!

He buys beans direct so its likely others are taking advantage of consumers with tariff scare tactics

This isn't fake at all.

A LB of ungrounded coffee at Sprouts was 12.99. It's now 17.99.

Yea seems whole bean may be impacted more since that would be the newest of coffee on the market. The ground up stuff can be stored in inventory for months (years?) so may not be impacted.

Coffee is up because of supply shortages due to higher demand.

Robusta, the cheaper bean they blend with arabica to keep pricing down, is in short supply. The more countries like China start dinking coffee, the tighter the global supply gets.

I’ll add it takes 3-4 years from planting coffee tree to getting any fruit to harvest.

There was a farmer on TikTok who said the same in regards to farmers and tariffs. That it’s not hurting farmers. He said there was a guy the legacy media found who they based their story on but he said if they had fact checked the things he claimed, they’d have seen they were false.

So that makes it MORE likely that he already paid higher pricess, because the name brands have more negotiating power

Nice try

Naw, it really was a piss poor try, actually
