they are non-native and invasive.


And like OP says, they make a mess with their shite.

Only control I've exercised so far is the bottom of my foot.

I like mine. They usually don't show up until the winter and they come looking for warmth. But they don't bother me.

I’m in the same camp now. I use to like having them around to eat bugs. Now they have seemed to multiply x10 and are a nuisance and crapping everywhere.

Those aren't the same ones here in baton rouge. The ones we have or at least at our house, are those creepy ones that look translucent.

No we have the translucent ones too. Those giant Curley tail lizards eat them, eat the normal green lizards (anoles)we both have too. They’re invasive and mean as shite.

One bit a baby black racer in half on my driveway.

Well that’s because you have an insect problem first. You won’t have geckos without bugs because they have something to eat. So I’d spray or out out some insecticide first.

I put glue traps on my walls sticky side out at ceiling where they are hanging out. Change traps once a week.

My cat tears them up. I always find the decapitated head on the doormat.
