It cycles base on time. So it is in the freeze cycle for some many minutes. To short your ice is thin. To long your ice is thick and cubes will not break apart. Changes in out side temps means you need to adjust times. ...

I have one. It works good for what it is. It makes ice but you have to send time adjusting the times. It is all based on times. No sensors ...
