Why do prots argue about religion more than Catholics?

It’s on this very board today. On the poli board constantly. I used to like a religious argument as much as anyone, until I grew up and realized that all it accomplishes is getting people pissed off. No minds were ever changed.
Protestants (particularly of the evangelical flavor) are obsessed with what other people think, say, and believe about religion. They are much more interested calling out Catholics and other denominations for being wrong, rather than simply practicing their own faith and being fulfilled by it.

If you believe someone is going to burn in Hell for eternity why would you not say something?
Not evangelizing would be one of the most evil things one could do.

At the end of the day, we are all God's children.
Go in Peace

Because I’m comfortable leaving my afterlife in God’s hands, rather than yours.

When your religion didn't start until 1500 years after Jesus, you tend to be a bit disconnected.

They think they are right about everything. They are so arrogant they re wrote the Bible and threw part of it away.

Do you think if you are not a Christian you will burn in Hell?
If yes and you would allow others to spend eternity in Hell then it’s pretty cruel to not say something.
If no then you should attempt to put yourself in the shoes of someone who does believe that and understand that it is the caring response to reach out and try to evangelize to you.

But since they're both wrong.
I'd be remiss in not replying to you.

not as disconnected as yet another bible thumper conveniently ignoring crystal clear pronouncements of Jesus, as in Matthew 16:18--
quote:
I tell you that you are Peter, and it is on this rock that I will build my Church, and the powers of hell will not conquer it.
So guess what Religion Peter founded?

If Protestants stopped worrying about everyone else going to hell, they would have to start looking at their own lives and their own beliefs.

Protestants are actually the liberals of Christianity. Liberals love to argue about how righteous/virtuous they are and how unenlightened you are if you are not one of them.
If Protestants spent a 1/10th of the time trying to convert non-believers as they do trying to tell Catholics how wrong they are, it would actually bring people to God. That is not a Protestant’s goal, though.
Curiously, they never want to argue about whether Martin Luther regretted his decision at the end of his life.

Saying that, there is definitely an insecurity amongst most Protestants towards Catholics.

Ahh the old "Catholics will burn in Hell" talking point
Got news for ya: Catholics are the original Christians.

To be fair, Jesus founded Christianity/Catholicism. Peter was just the vessel
