What’s the worst period of time you could have been born in?

Baghdad in 1258
You’re living with your smoking hot armpit haired wife in peace, sowing your crops. Living on a peaceful farm outside town.
Then Genghis Khan and his horde shows up at your gates. Your farm gets ravaged, you watch your wife get gang raped, you find yourself cornered and get gang raped yourself by Mongal figs. Then they stick a sword up your arse while still alive.

Eastern Europe, born in the 1880s-1930s. You get the joy of WW1, Russian Civil War, Stalin and his famines, WW2, German Occupation/genocide. That’s a lot of shitty events in a 30 year period.

I don't think there is a measure for the worst period to be born, As a collective group, maybe the first two post may be correct.
As for an individual, there is so much evil in this world that that they suffer from the day they are born until the day they die. All they know is abuse, torture, rape, slavery and whatever suffering that human evil can inflict. That would be the worst time to be born for that soul. I Pray God grants peace to all souls who suffer from evil.

Born in France around 1300 is pretty bad. Great famine from 1315-1317, heart of the Black Death plague 1346-1353, Hundred years war kicked off 1337. Extreme political upheaval and uncertainty, along with fighting a war against England and what was basically a French Civil War concurrently.

That's pretty much the reality in most places throughout most of known history. Just swap out the mongols with gauls, romans, saxons, american indians, etc. The good ole days weren't so good.

That’s a tough one. And most of the worst periods of time have been covered. If I had to choose one that I’d call the worst, I’d have to say being born in Poland or European Russia between 1870-1930.
