There has been a growing sentiment around the NBA that Green has lost the Pelicans' locker room, and that was evident on Wednesday night on the road against the Denver Nuggets. One of Green's most questionable decisions to begin the season was starting 37-year-old center DeAndre Jordan, who just signed with the team on Friday, over All-Rookie center Yves Missi in Denver.

That’s basically the whole team. You can see the body language of the team giving up on Green

When you are discussing firing your coach in the 4th game of an 82 game season, you might as well fire the entire front office as well.

Speculation surrounding the Pelicans indicates a decision on Green's future being made when the team returns from its current three-game road trip, sources told ClutchPoints. No team in NBA history has ever made the playoffs after starting a season 0-6. Similar remarks have also been shared by Pelicans reporter Shamit Dua, who also reported on rumblings of Green's potential firing upon returning to New Orleans from the team's current road trip.

And if anyone thinks the team doesn’t prefer JB

Through the team's first handful of games, star forward Zion Williamson has been seen engaging more than usual with associate head coach James Borrego during his pregame warmups and routine.

If this ends up in his firing I’ll be even more pissed off they didn’t do it this offseason

and if they don’t fire him I’ll be pissed off that he’s still in place

They’re more than a day late and a dollar short

From what I’m reading from beat writers it sounds like it’s done after the OKC game when they get back to NOLA.

We shall see

the last two games scream there's not a option anymore.

Who on the staff would the board say is best suited to take his seat for now?

Of course Borrego would take over. Gayle doesn’t want to pay up for a quality coach

And no coach wants to come here because of our incompetent ownership

I'm glad they're waiting until after the road trip. Wouldn't want to mess up the team dynamics and the flow of the offense.

This feels like Joe leaking this to put pressure on Gayle.. exactly the same recipe as how Dennis Allen got fired

His fate was sealed when he decided to start Fears and Jordan last night. You could tell the team was not behind those decisions.

I honestly believe even Willie doesn’t want to do this any more. He knows he can’t turn it around. That’s how long we waited.

I thought Loomis did not want to fire Dennis? It was the Saints players that went to Gayle?

6 games too late. Should have been let go when Dumars took over like everyone said.

We wasted an entire offseason and training camp with a coach everyone knew wouldn’t last.

If JB took over from the beginning we would probably be in a much better spot right now and actually winning games

But whatever, just get WG out of here asap.
