1.He reports directly to LSU President
2. He hires assistant Ad's to manage daily operations..
3. He hires coach in waiting
4. Give him full autonomy
5. Pay him what him what he wants ...not what Sexton says. Saban has the power to put Sexton in the corner this time
6.And finally guarantee him Landry or any other governor will not be allowed in the room, on the field or any real involvement. AND yes this can be arranged also.
7. Anyone who leaks this negotiation should be fired or removed from their appointed position

Clean up all this crap and Go Tigers!

Saban is plus 70 in age, he doesn't want to coach anymore. Has anybody been watching what's going on at UNC ?

What does this mean? If Sexton can get him a high number do you think Nick is gonna say “nah Jimmy, that’s too much. I’ll take 20 mil instead of 25, let’s put the rest in the progrum.”

I say we pay him in Lil Debbies.

Some people go to NASCAR races for the wrecks, and then other people go to TD for the comments and deep insight.

I could have gone along with your plan if you had only added HEAR ME OUT to your thread title.

Please

BB never coached college football before

His personal life is strange with dating a 24 year old

Don’t compare UNC to LSU football

If Saban wants to come here he is not going to ask for a bazillion dollars, he is reasonable.
He is not going to want to coach for 7 or 10 years
He would only come if he thinks he can upright the ship, win a NC and do what no one else can.

Alot of you know alot about football but zero about negotiations.
Saban has to tell us no before we move on. It'll take just a few hours to have that conversation

Exactly, 100 percent accurate. Why risk how his legacy is perceived for, what, money he already has in spades?

Makes zero, zero sense.

This is comical - it's like you think Sexton was ever controlling Nick.

Not going to lie I wouldn't mind him in a Consultant role for the search or as an AD if he wanted it. I just don't think he does. He also doesn't want to get back into Coaching.

Why is it that you people think Saban would make a good AD? What is 75% of an AD's job? Gladhanding and Schmoozing donors. You think Saban has the temperment for that kind of thing? You think a high level football coach want someone like Saban looking over his shoulder with how he runs his team? Saban as an AD would not go well.
