If it came to be Frank Wilson was hired to be our head coach I would just stop watching LSU football… it would tell me how far the program has fallen

It’s nothing against Wilson, but it would be the same feeling I had when we hired Coach oh, like what the hell just happened?

Oh, ended up being exactly who we thought he was a great recruiter, and he stumbled on some phenomenal talent and one of the greatest quarterbacks ever play college football

It was like something of a gift, but it was not Coach O coach and his magic.

That’s why it failed very quickly after everybody left

He could not sustain success- he’s not that kind of person or leader

His personal life apparently became a mess and he drugged LSU right through it going six and six 2 years in a row.

LSU is currently underdog to Vanderbilt Ole Miss Texas A&M

We need to understand where we’re at in college football. - Behind!

You are sadly underestimating Coach Frank's leadership ability. Football x's and o's are not that hard. Leadership ability is invaluable. Yes, OC and DC are important roles that LSU should fill with clearly qualified candidates. Recruiting under Coach Frank and Kelvin would be incredible. There would be no soft culture of finesse football under these guys. UTSA and Mcneese were not ever going to have the players that LSU can get. There would be no quit in LSU teams under Coach Frank.

Wilson failed at UTSA.

Sheppard has never coached in college and would never leave an NFL DC job for a college one.

No one really “recruits” anymore. It’s who gives the best deal.

Wilson would be fired within 2-3 years after winning 2 total SEC games. Don’t buy the hype if he pulls out a win or two as interim. He is a valuable coach and players respect him, so I hope the next head coach hires him. He’s just not cut out for the top job.
