Watching the MAGA movement beat out Massie’s brand of earnest libertarianism is so depressing.

Massie wants to be a Kardashian-type celebrity.
he purposely votes the way he does for that sole reason.

JD has gotten so damned good at these kinds of forums. This wasn't anywhere near his best answer and yet hes still so gratifying to listen to because he doesn't bullshite. He keeps it real like Trump and Elon.

frick team sport politics.
Massie is a conservative who has conservative views. He doesn't have the wrong view on issues, the republican party does because they constantly abandon conservative values due to all the neocon socialists.
Here's Jon Stewart and Bernie Sanders praising Trump from implementing socialist ideas Bernie has been trying to get the democrats to pass.
They want congressmen to be an extension of the President, not the voice of the people.
Besides, the real reason they want him gone is because he's not controlled by the AIPAC/Israel lobby.

Thomas Massie's brand is brand Thomas Massie.
Massie is supposed to be a man of integrity, a man who exposes limited government, term limits.
Speaking of term limits, Thomas Massie has been a long-time proponent of limiting congressional terms, supporting mandated limits of six to eight years for House Representatives, yet Thomas will be running for his ninth term next year. If Thomas Massie was a man of integrity he would limit himself to the terms that he thinks all of congress should be limited.
Thomas Massie is a swamp creature. If you think Thomas Massie is man of integrity then you are going to be disappointed, find a better hero.

Do you really feel this way? I just can’t fathom how someone could reach that conclusion.
He adamantly supports a law that would leave him jobless. Despite his efforts, most politicians are spineless, so it won’t so much as reach the floor. And to hold to his principles he should quit rather than keep fighting?

This is the guy you are calling a swamp creature:
This is the kind of guy you think isn't:
This is the real reason they hate Massie:

What do you think Coach Saban does to a running back that continually fumbles the ball?
This isn't about acquiescence, it's about helping your side win the game.
I wonder if Massie is simply wearing the wrong jersey.

Politics is not a team sport. Not to mention there isn't really 2 sides.

Your platoon is going to quietly climb the hill and approach the enemy from behind and overtake them.
Massie stands up screaming "my job is to kill the enemy" and starts shooting. The enemy zeros in on the location, calls in artillery and kills the whole platoon.
Was Massie supposed to kill the enemy....yes. Did he win the moment and lose the entire enchilada due to his selfishness....yes.
In the infamous words of the Rolling Stones, you dont always get what you want....you get what you need.

Nope. This is dead wrong and is a super common mistake. Massie advocates term limits for all, not for one. The idea behind term limits is that the cost of limiting terms for good congressmen is more than made up for by limiting the terms for bad ones. This is presumably a good trade off for Massie. But you say that in absence of this trade off he should just limit the terms of what he obviously considers a good congressman - himself - and get nothing in exchange? You can see the fallacy there.

Then you have completely naive and childish outlook on the reality of the inner workings of politics. This is the issue with libertarians, they can’t see the forest from the trees, they are so caught up in their principles, they don’t see the need for our side to push the ball down the field in a united and organized front. And this process is going to require some give and take.

The contrast between JD (good) vs Gavin (evil) is unbelievable.
