Jeff Landry was denied admission to LSU twice — undergrad and law school. At what point can we say he’s doing everything he can to burn the place down out of spite.

He’s just taking advantage of the situation to get his name in the press. Politicians love their 15 minutes

How do you get denied from LSU undergrad in the 80s?

I think Landry understands the value of a winning, successful flagship football program when it comes to positive publicity for the State as a whole. But that doesn't mean Landry is going about it in the right way

We will have a university president next week that Landry will suck off.

This ordeal will end soon

Doesn’t really make sense that the governor gets to appoint all members of the board of supervisors.

I was actually the lone student member back in the 90’s, so very familiar with the whole thing. The board generally just rubber-stamps everything, but one call from the governor and they would probably all vote in unison.

In the mid 80s, all you had to do was TAKE the ACT. No minimum score, no minimum GPA in high school.
Just take the ACT.
I didn’t know that being denied was possible.

How would you like them to be installed? I think current 6yr rolling terms is fair enough and the ability for different governors to install members.

This 100% shouldn’t be an elected position:
1. I don’t think these people meet all that often
2. The public elects idiots for roles where they have a fairly good idea on what they do, I would bet 95% of the electorate couldn’t name a single member or tell you what they do
3. Do you want special interests buying these positions, then you’ll really see stupidity

How does someone get denied admission to LSU undergrad? You either meet admission requirements, or you don’t. It’s not that selective.

LSU is selective in 2025. It was basically open admissions in the 80s and 90s as I recall.

It appears that Landry is using LSU to get Woodward, since Scott is tied to James Carville politically .

Sure. Those videos from the first week scream "selective" to me.

Damn! I never thought of that. I agree 100% that is what Landry is doing. Wasn't Woodward planning on running for governor?

Sorry this is a brain dead consideration. So being elected governor without a run off just isn’t enough for daily affirmations? As if it were needed.

He’s got an opinion and because we invited it……
