Trump announces that he has instructed the “Department of War” to resume the testing of nuclear weapons, in response to testing programs by other countries, citing both China and Russia. The last nuclear test by the United States was carried out on September 23, 1992, at the Nevada Test Site.

I assume we don’t test anymore because we pretty much have thermonuclear weapons figured out?

Nuclear Test Ban treaties we signed back in the 70s, IIRC. But Trump is smart to test our stockpile again. Game theory only works if our nukes actually work.

There are working rounds. My brother works in the nuclear test site outside of Vegas but they dont call it that
