What has he ever won? And wasn’t he fired on the tarmac at USC?

He beat LSU with a D2 QB so there’s that

Goddamn you fricking people are stupid as shite.
I’m not saying that he would win anything here but do you dumbass motherfrickers know how many active coaches have won a NC as a head coach?
This whole “he hasn’t won anything” line is so motherfricking idiotic that I question whether or not you people have a functioning brain.
Let’s not take into account that he’s only got Ole Miss in a position they haven’t been in in about 60 years. But sure, he ain’t worth a frick.
Goddamn you people are incredibly stupid.

Kiffin could stumble upon a championship like Miles and O, but not a championship builder. However, what did Saban win prior to LSU?

Ok, at least tell us your candidate so we can ask the same questions about him

What had Bob Stoops won prior to getting OU job? What about Saban prior to LSU? What about Pete Carroll prior to USC? How about Mack prior to Texas? How about Kirby prior to UGA? What about Miles prior to LSU? What about Jimbo prior to FSU?

Good God the revisionist history. Before 2012 and becoming more conservative than Rush Limbaugh, Les was running one of the most elite programs in the country. If Jarrett Lee hadn't pick sixed his way into Les's nightmares we would have been dominant for 2 decades under that grass eating buffoon.

It might be unlikely, but why are people so dismissive like this?

Who said anything about national titles? Lane Kiffin has never won so much as a division title in a major conference as a head coach. Clay Helton had more in-conference success at USC than Lane Kiffin.

Landry torpedoed the contract type it would require to get Kiffin here. No point in bringing it up now.

Any guesses how many active college coaches have won a national championship? 3. Kirby Smart, Ryan Day, and Dabo Swinney. That’s it. You could use the “what has he ever won?” argument for the other 1000 or so coaching candidates that’ll be thrown out over the next few months.

In the fricking PAC-12.
I’d hope he would.

Remind me of his success out side of LSU and specifically without a Saban recruited team. In his 8 year tenure post championship, he had 2 great seasons and a few good ones, but was not able to build a championship team after winning a championship. 2011 could have been his legacy, but his QB development killed that. He wasn't a terrible coach by any means, but not one to build a team from the mess we are seeing now...Just as Kiffin likely isn't.

Being at bama unlocked lane’s offensive brain. He has spoken on that when saban made him go talk to other coaches about spread concepts they could involve in the bama offense. Lane has had a top 20 offense in the country pretty much every year sense….in the SEC at that, and he’s done it and won a ton of games…..at ole miss, who never does that. Its really that simple

Ding ding ding! We have a winner!
So, why is he worth 15 million a year?
