Do you think it distracts from your morbid obesity?
Seems like almost every fat guy has these massive beards that hang down 10-12 inches. Makes them look even more ridiculous than they already do.
Is this the fat guy equivalent to the goatee for bald men?

I also think it's weird how ubiquitous it is.
I think it's more to do with laziness than anything, but I think it does hide the double chin too.

The vast majority of fat men don’t have a beard at all. You just find yourself particularly infatuated with a certain type of man, thus you notice them more.
