That argument worked 4 years ago.

Right now, he's one of the best coaches in the SEC and he's got Ole Miss as a consistent contender. Prior to him, they were a door mat.

What is it the last 3 years, once he figured out NIL and the portal?

OM hasn’t been this good on a consistent basis since Archie Manning played there. There’s one person responsible for that.

I’m not necessarily saying I wouldn’t have him here. I’m just saying it’s not like he’s got some immaculate record that should automatically qualify him as the number one overall candidate, barring all others. He is still a very immature person, and he still makes very questionable decisions at times… Such as playing the back up quarterback in two key situations in a very close win against Oklahoma on the road last week.

Obviously, nobody is perfect, and he would be better than what we’ve had over the last four years, but… I don’t understand the overall infatuation with him being considered the best coach in the country right now. That’s all.

.

If he’s that good, why did it take him until now to get to that number.

We just fired a guy for a similar number guys. I know he sucked at a lot of things, but can we have an open mind about someone other than lane…especially considering it’s probably not going to happen.

Neat. He’s 28-6 at OLE MISS the last 3 seasons.

I haven’t really dug into it yet. Very busy week this week and I don’t want to just rattle off names without knowing who these guys are for sure. So I guess you can tell I’m not thinking splash name, I think we need to build our own thing. I think Kiffin would be good but the people I listen to have said he’s not leaving OM. I never say never, just what I’ve heard and this guy predicted Kelly two weeks ago.

He’s at Ole Miss. They’ve won double digit games in back to back seasons for the second time ever. They are likely to win 10+ again this season and it will be the first time they ever do that in 3 consecutive seasons.
