My number #1 choice is Kelvin Sheppard. But I hear so many mentioning Tulane Sumrall as a candidate and saying things like he “built” Tulane and this and that. No. Not at all. Fritz built Tulane and now he’s building Houston in year 2 at 7-1. Beat USC with Williams in the Cotton Bowl.

He’s right there, surprisingly no one is talking about him.

He's 65.

I'd rather not.

Fritz took the Houston job because he wanted to be closer to his grandkids. He turned down other 'power' jobs before taking the Houston job. Most Tulane fans figured that he would leave for kansas/Kansas st or Houston.

Why not John DeFiliplo? Good coach,40 sumthin yr old, tough, disciplined teams, his n.o. breakers lead the league in offense, had a stout defense.

Yes, by all means lets hire a HC for LSU that has NO HC EXPERIENCE and not even that much coaching experience period. Let him take on that monumental task without the prerequisite background and experience.

Willie Fritz is a top tier coach and I’ve always found it amazing how his name hasn’t been mentioned much with big name schools

I like that guy and more then I like sumrall but I want a young coach

dillingham 35
Joe Brady 36
Lanning 39
Golesh 41
Sumrall 43
Key 47

More I read about dillingham I think he could be the next Saban or Meyer. Memphis OC at 27, aubie OC at 29, fsu OC at 30, Oregon ducks OC at 32, ASU HC at before 34. He makes 7mil a year and his alma mater kinda like brohm so he will be pricy. I almost rather spend less money on a young up and comer but he has already arrived I feel. So idk. But I like the guy

Old, took Houston job to be close to his kids. He makes enough money to be very comfortable.
