Do you guys think Woodward will have any say in the new hire, or do you think a new President will be appointed and instructed by the Gov to limit his involvement in the process? Or, do you guys see a different scenario?

I think Gov Huey P Landry is going to continue cleaning house at LSU and Scott Woodward is done as AD
Landry gets his guy at LSU Pres and then Landry gets four more LSU BOS appointments in 2026.
The new President will then replace Woodward and the new LSU FB HC will also have a new AD to work with

the new president will put woody out on his arse. and deservedly so, someone has to answer for the kelly hire and contract.

My guess is no. Landry is an asshat and like other governors before him will want to leave his mark. This will have his footprints all over it.

Don't think that hasn't been discussed.
The question is has that ship sailed? NC State is good spot and Wade is likely to have some degree of success there this year. If he's able to notch some wins vs. Duke and UNC the donor support for him will grow. The only reason there is some feasibility to this plan (at least for now) is that Wade's annual salary this year is lower than what LSU is paying McMahon.

Probably, but it would be idiotic not to use Woodward's contacts and experience to at minimum get the ball rolling and narrow down options. Maybe you don't want him doing the contract, but I still think you are paying through the nose with a guaranteed contract for any high-profile guy you poach from a successful P4 program. And if you are unwilling, you won't get those guys.

Wade Rousse will be the next LSU President, and Woodward will receive his walking papers shortly thereafter. This is pretty much a guarantee, at least the President selection. Rousse already reportedly has votes from 10 of the 16 LSU Board of Supervisors, and he is Landry's choice.

LSU's version of prostate cancer. Saban once put it in remission, unfortunately it came back with a vengeance when Alleva was hired.
