I’ll be Orgeron worked harder as a head coach than Kelly did at least the first 2 years anyway. He got complacent and satisfied after that though.

Best comment from that post:

Ed O could have missed the bus to every game that season and they still would have won the natty.

People parrot stuff like this, but I think he was a galvanizing force in the few close games.

Telling Slinger/Brady to throw for the first on 3rd and 17, playing for 7 instead of 3 after the INT at Bama, making sure no one tightened up and choked when it was 7-17.

Since he didn’t call plays most of his contributions were in the offseason, but I still think he had a positive effect on the sidelines whereas Kelly actively hurt the team by making guys play tight with his terrible attitude.

That Chris Hilton “you are fricking uncoachable” clip is recirculating and tbh that’s one of the only times (along with wtf are you doing Joe?!) I’ve been team BK sideline melt.

In fairness he had to recruit the players.

There's a good chance Herman would have landed Jeaux, but Kelly probably wouldn't have.

And yet Ed O will get shite on by the fanbase just as much, if not more, as the loser Kelly.

O is the perfect example of being self-aware about his limitations as a HC. He got great support staff to do the X's and O's (no pun intended) while he focused on being the team mascot/cheerleader/hype man.

2019 LSU is at worse the third best team ever in college football, so he wasn't replicating that, but if he could have kept it in his pants and stayed focused he could have had a monster run with NIL. Alas, the propensity of us coonasses to become total jackasses is why we haven't conquerred the world yet.

O's hunger those first couple of years is grossly understated.

They really are at their best when trying to get shite done, and at their worst after they've done it.

It's kind of funny, but it's not true.

O was great in 2018. He found Burrow. Beating Miami week 1 and @ Auburn week 3.

He also skulldrag Kirby by 20 that year and made Fiesta bowl.

He was more than a one-hit wonder. He want a NC and mailed it in (don’t blame him)

I remember that post when it first came out. I think that wedding was the day after his wife relieved him of $8million. I am glad he was in a good mood.
