First player with 3 multi-HR games in same postseason

Second player ever to have 2 12 total base games in one postseason (first was Babe)

Only one other player in baseball history had four extra-base hits in a World Series game: Frank Isbell had four doubles for the Chicago White Sox in Game 5 in 1906 against the Chicago Cubs.

Has anybody ever heard legendary pitchers interviewed about their thoughts on shohei?

I'd love to hear what Nolan Ryan and Clemens and Greg Maddox think about him. Like long, detailed conversation. I wonder if Koufax has talked about him at length

Imagine a pitcher winning 4 MVPs but no Cy Youngs

He might be having the best single postseason. Not sure if he has the career numbers to say of all time yet. He'll probably get there, though.

Jays would be smart not to let him see another pitch all series. Should get walked even if the bases are loaded. Well maybe not this game but rest of series.

he is batting .224 in postseason

He’s certainly had 2 legendary games and pitched very well in game 5 of NLCS (1 of the legendary games), but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

I don’t think I would throw another pitch at him for the remainder of the WS.

I hate these hyperboles especially for a sport that's had a pro league for the better part of 160 years, but damn is he becoming undeniable. Haven't seen anyone change a game with his presence like this since Bonds.

Also, for reference of some freak stuff

quote:

In the 2002 postseason, Barry Bonds batted .356 with 16 hits, 8 home runs, 16 RBIs, and 18 runs scored in 17 games. He had an exceptional on-base percentage of .581 and a slugging percentage of .978, resulting in an OPS of 1.559.

Its such a shame if that happens. A fundamental flaw of the sport

Imagine not letting John McEnroe serve and volley in the Wimbledon final.

Imagine not letting Patrick Mahomes scramble outside of the pocket in the Super Bowl.
