Brian Kelly - fail
Matt McMahon - so far a fail
Jay Johnson - great hire
Kim Mulkey - great hire
Jake Amos - looking like a great hire, men's golf
Jay Clark - great hire
Sian Hudson - good hire, soccer
Danny Bryan - good hire, men's tennis
Taylor Fogleman - good hire, women's tennis
Tonya Johnson - jury is still out, volleyball
Woodward has whiffed on the two biggest sports and of course that matters, but he has a track record of hiring good coaches. It's always a crap shoot. Hopefully he learned something with Kelly, but the athletic program as a whole is much improved under Woodward.

Yep. And it matters more than all of those other names combined.

So why does he get paid so much money and why do you care if he is the AD? If it’s always a crap shoot, why don’t we just hire some guy for $100k and let him be the AD?

To you it is. To most it’s not.

It's All About the Benjamins, always in the end.

Is Woodward definitely staying as AD?

Jake Amos did some good things but shite the bed at regionals last year as a prohibitive favorite.
That was bad, like StoneyBrook bad level collapse.

Not a single one of those matter except 1.

At LSU, in terms of revenue, missed revenue, actual profitability, no it's not.
Nationally, men's basketball is clear #2, with some programs funding their entire AD from basketball revenue.
But, under Woody, BASEketball is likely to get more attention than basketball.

Johnson was instigated and faciitated by Skip and Maineiri
Mulkey called LSU. She wanted out at Baylor...he just overpaid her to come.
So his two GREAT hires were not his really
And the two that really counted for revenue, we terrible flops

Rumor is no. Hearing it in multiple places.

I agree. He hired Jimbo at A&M and everyone in the LSU community would have creamed for if he had come here instead. And a vast majority of our fan base was excited about Kelly when he pried him from ND. It was basically the media shitting all over Kelly because he chose us over their beloved golden domers.

The only sport that matters is football. Football pays the bills. Cheese fry Woody should be fired. Imagine this hire in the private sector. Fired period.

Not from a money, and more importantly, potential money perspective.
Not by a long shot.
