if RP continuously tested positive for coke, then how is he allowed to play under scholarship at JSU?

Perriloux - missed classes, being a knuckle head, with no criminal charges, sec championship game mvp and impt part of BCS Championship run, Would have been LSU starting QB for two seasons, possible BCS run by his Senior Year
Way to play down his stupidity and overplay his importance.

Get RP's dick out of your mouth and wise up. That a-hole hurt LSU way more than he helped.

Who cares if Phelps smokes a little pot? I certainly don't. And companies that dump him over this BS are companies I refuse to support.

No more Frosted Flakes.

I think you are being quite naive if you think these things don't go on at college campuses around the country.

what kind of college experience did you have?

how many people do you think get busted for being involved with counterfeiting rings while in college?

Yes it is. Nothing wrong with a bong hit every now and then.

I think Perrilloux had much better legal representation than Phelps...so in my opinion it's a tossup.

i say perrilloux is worse. the bong and criminal charges can't take away Phelps gold medals. he has reached the top already. RP had all the talent in the world and a NFL career ahead of him with the possiblilty of competing for a Heisman. now he has to live the rest of his life with a "What If".

I'll give you the first one, the second one, not really.

OK, but

Phelps got drunk and smoked pot -- his commitment to his sport was never questioned.

Yup, pretty much.

People can try and quibble over the moral implications of each kid's transgressions, but when debating whose issues were worse, all you have to look at is their outcome. Phelps is a worldwide hero (still) and set for life (still). He dominated a highly competitive sport far more so than any other athlete in history. People in countries that don't even exist yet will know his name a hundred years from now. Perrilloux helped an American college football team win a conference championship en route to a national championship, got himself kicked off the team for being and idiot, and quite possibly jeapordized whatever chances he had in the NFL. The odds of no one ever hearing of him again (outside of a police blotter) are much higher than the odds of no one ever hearing of Phelps again.

except that Perrilloux was snorting cocaine and all...

can't have coke heads running your offense, as stupid as allowing Jarret Lee running your offense

One incident, involving only himself:
Many incidents involving team.
One athlete has had the discipline to comnplete one olympiad of training, win a whole slew of gold medals.
The other athlete was never able to attain starter status in D-1 or complete a season without incident.
Ain't close.
And, yes, the anology is stupid, the comparison shallow.

Perrilloux by far. He doesnt have much of a chance in the NFL to make money.

In life even more so because of his crack habit.

He FAILED 11 ELEVEN drug tests at LSU. Com'on the dude has got some serious problems.
