I’ve gotten to the point where I pretty much stay in Do Not Disturb mode. OR I really did mess up my taxes and a lot of companies are just trying to help.

Since iOS 26 came out, I don't even get notified about calls from numbers not in my contacts anymore. It's the best thing ever.

Y'all got to quit giving out your phone number. Give out a fake number for like 95%+ of the time and only if you have too. But hospitals will definitely sell out your number and you'll still get spam calls, but not one to give a fake one too.

My phone stays on silent and I don't answer or call back any number I am not familiar with. If its important they will leave a message. This allows me to deal with things, talk to people on my terms.
I have it near me most of the time so I do see calls so I don't not answer any calls, but the spam calls seem to come in waves. That's the only pattern I have noticed with them. I have only received spam text in the middle of the night and the earliest I ever got a spam call was minutes before 8AM. 6:53AM is a bit ridiculous.
It just seems like there would be something the phone companies could do to limit spam calls. I read the other day that in 2024, in the US alone, over $12.5 billion was scammed from people (of course this isn't just from spam calls, but it gives you an idea why these scammers stay active).
