Ross Dellenger article on how everything unfolded from last night to Kelly’s firing

Some quotes I thought were interesting from the article
Kelly has expressed to those at LSU and elsewhere that he wants to coach again — a move that could drastically reduce the buyout or potentially result in a negotiated lump payment.
Earlier Sunday, as LSU officials and donors as well as Louisiana political figures considered all of these aspects, weighing the costs of keeping him versus cutting bait, the decision was clear: This wasn’t salvageable.
It was to the point that one leading LSU figure noted Sunday evening that Kelly couldn’t explain why his players weren’t playing harder. He’d lost the locker room, says another person.
“We are soft,” said a third.
“Apathy is second to this program,” said one LSU powerbroker Sunday. “What happened to Saturday night cannot happen.”
“After the dollars we spent, I’m shocked at how bad this team has played,” said one leading donor.
But is all the outrage justified?
As one person quipped Sunday, “This is the age of outrage. There is no more patience.”

I’m actually surprised he wants to coach again. He seems like he wants to retire

I may catch flack for this, but it’s becoming a problem everywhere.
It’s exactly why Saban retired.
Players didn’t necessarily like Saban for his beautiful personality.
NIL has made the game to where the players now run the program, and it’s going to be harder and harder for coaches to keep things together.

I think he stopped coaching years ago.

Boston College will hire him. They are 1-7 and Kelly is the perfect fit there

He did his master's bidding in the article by talking up Woody and ignoring both his poor hire McMahon, forcing of Pelini on O.
Woodward is the biggest issue with LSU right now and should have been fired alongside Kelly.

Should've been a package deal. A bundle. A KellyWood bundle.

Who is making that decision? Not an interim president? The governor himself?

I think VaTech is a better fit for him.

I think he would be a good fit at Michigan State assuming it opens up.

a place that can correct his Peyronie's is a good fit for him
