There is no more in state recruiting pipeline, it's a bidding war.

People in Oxford are excited and Hungry.

People in BR are Spoiled and Lazy

Ain't happening

you are delusional.

LSU no longer has a recruiting advantage. It's all mercenaries you have to re-sign annually. LSU is broke

NIL deals are terrible here. LSU is so stupid they thought NIL success was Angel Reese and Olivia Dunne. Real NIL succeass is having the state directly fund you so you have a big budget to pay players every year, no worries. Woodward was too stupid to do this.

Resources? really? LSU has no resources

Maybe 10 years ago. It's not true anymore. The rules are different now.

Kiffin might go somewhere else but it won't be LSU.

He'd rather stay where he is than come here.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

I disagree. This game keeps leaning more and more towards athleticism over bulk. That is what LA is known for producing. Unlike other Universities LSU has no real competition in the state for talent. Kelly will be the first coach here since ‘99 to not win a title.

Why would we want Kiffin here? He has not won anything. Has a similar record as Kelly. I just don’t get the love for the guy.

Oh please. Have you been to Oxford? It’s a 1 horse town with NOTHING happening anywhere around and hasn’t won a National Championship in 63 years, lol. It’s difficult to bring some recruits because of their families and Ole Miss and Mississippi’s tradition. I know because I lived about 2 1/2 hours South from there and my daughter graduated and got her Masters there. The fanbase is delusional to think that they’re any kind of hotspot for College FB recruits. LSU is in a prime location with zero local schools competing against them from this State. Not even close.

Kiffin pointed it out during our game week. LSU starting only 2 kids on defense from Louisiana. It's unheard of.

The money has spread the elite talent across a much larger number of schools.

This new system disfavors LSU. Louisiana is a poor state. Really poor. It's going to manifest itself more and more going forward.

And we don’t have the cheese to outbid UF.

That and BR is a worse place for the family than Oxford. Not saying that matters to him, but true nonetheless.

Because he’s an Offensive guru who worked side by side with SABAN on a Championship team and has now turned a nothing University in a nothing town into a yearly contender and would be much better than any Coordinators or Head Coaches on the Applicant List available. THATS WHY.

Terrible take. LSU fans have a lot of weird self hate. If you can look past it you would see we are one of the most recognizable brands in all of sports. We have some of the top personalities both in professional leagues and in front of the cameras. Our gameday experience is legendary. Its second to none despite some of the people on here being so critical of it. Many fans from around the world have it on their bucket lists - had 2 random guys from Ireland at our tailgate yesterday. Another guy from Maine. Past 2 years we've had Aussies, and Brits come to see games. If you speak to people who arent LSU fans they will tell you just how big we are.

While recruiting is a bidding war now for the top dogs, filling the middle and lower part of your roster is a hell of a lot easier here in LA than it is in many other places. Coaches know they can show up in any random small town in LA and find a raw talent that can develop into an nfl star.

And just look around and see what the media and analysts say of the job. They're in agreement that it is one of the top in America. If our coaching position comes open, we would be the best job available so far this year.

He's been a HC for 12 full seasons. He has 10+ wins in 6 of them and is on track to make that 7/13.

He is 50 years old. Young enough to still be in his prime but old enough to have had a lot of experience. In fact you would be hard pressed to find a good candidate with more. He has been HC at Tenn, USC, and Ole Miss. He has been OC at Alabama and rehabbed his career under the tutelage of Saban. So he's been around big time programs and the politics and expectations that come with them.

He is the least riskiest hire we could make.

You're living in the past.

One of the winningest coaches in football is about to fail here with all of the advantages you listed.

Most of the advantages are gone. What's left is a more challenging environment to succeed coupled with an unrealistic level of expectation.
