quote:

The league wants to take my lunch away because I said before that Reichard’s only miss was hitting a wire in London,” Michaels said. “The league says, ‘No, no, it was an optical illusion.'” “That’s not what Reichard thinks,” Michaels continued. “Anyway, there you have it. We cleaned it up. I’m always cleaning up our mess. My mess.”

So the NFL must have complained at halftime and 80 yr old Al went off the top rope…

Crazy how the NFL has goons calling in at halftime to essentially threaten the broadcast team, demanding they officially tow the company propaganda line.

The NFL is rocketing towards FIFA/IOC levels of corruption.

I am afraid this is only going to get infinitely worse if the FCC allows the NFL Network sale to ESPN with an ownership position attached for the NFL.

With the Rams and NFL sham move out of St Louis I stopped following. SEC football is more than enough and a better consumer product frankly.

This shouldn’t be surprising. You can tell the commentators get told to knock it off when talking about officiating.

Goodell controls the narrative.

He’s Al Michaels. If there’s any man in broadcasting right now that the NFL doesn’t have the girth to punish, it’s Al.

Going to be interesting if this gambling thing bleeds into the NFL.

It’s only a matter of time before something like what’s currently going on with the NBA comes out about the NFL, anyone that thinks it’s not currently happening in the NFL is just lying to themselves. I don’t care how much money players and coaches get paid, at the end of the day money talks and BS walks. Anyone that grew up and played sports in public school in SE Louisiana knows that gambling or doing anything for money is part of a culture no matter what people believe. If people want to put money on these games then more power to them, but this was always going to be a problem.

Ditto. I don't watch the NFL but I do love watching the blatant game fixing videos after the fact, and the NFL covering it up while the "fans" gas light anyone with a brain.

Next thing will be "No, you didn't see that and you're making things up. There's no way a punt could hit the scoreboard in AT&T Stadium."
