He plays way too passive and is certainly not a top tier level player that we thought he was supposed to be developing into. Looked disinterested and lazy tonight.

Soft more than passive.

He took the ball to the rim. But he couldn’t deal with any contact.

I’m very disappointed with TM3.

Oh but he’s about to be an all star. I’m so sick of hearing about his potential

It’s one game. Trey is a great player. Such an odd person to hate on.

This is who we got. We got a bunch of guys that don't really care if we win or lose. Our HC doesn't care, our owner doesn't care. Why would our 'star players' care?

Good thing we got a top 5 pick coming. Maybe we can draft a real difference maker in the coming draft.

Trey isn't a 2nd or 3rd year player anymore. This is the guy thats supposed to be our #2. He didn't look like anything more than a decent backup tonight.

I guess you missed the whole “it’s one game part?” Are you saying that at no point has TM3 looked like a legit #2 option?

Cade Cunningham went 8-26 tonight and 1-6 from 3 in a loss. That pretty much proves without a doubt that he can’t lead that team.

Trey would be a great 6th man on a contending team. Come in with high energy and score. He doesn’t appear to be the second best player on a playoff team.

What constitutes a "great" player?

Funny thing is...Trey is a bit TOO passive going to the hoop...and Herb is a bit TOO aggressive...going to the hoop. Herb will learn that he doesn't always have to try & finish at the hoop, especially when there's help defenders (like JJJ tonight) just waiting for him.

He's gotta develope either a "floater" or a 15-foot pullup J...& I'm pretty sure it's gonna end being the pullup. Plus...he's actually a very solid passer and will also learn to kick it out to a wide open shooter standing at the 3-pt line...but that's not easy unless you have an auto-pilot like a true PG...and Herb still has a ways to go in that area.

Missing on Hali by a pick and getting Kira

And Missing Sengun by a pick and Getting Trey

Those 2 near misses took us from yearly championship contender to absolute basement dwellers

And Yes, Trey is a nice player, but he's 3-4 tiers below Sengun.

Had a nice double digit lead with Zion in a zone and Trey decides he would take it from there and hands Memphis all the momentum with lead gone in a flash.

I’m with you, let’s not overreact too hard to one bad game. I believe in Trey, his 3 was just short all night. He will settle in. It’s just tough because if we get half of what Trey normally gives us, we win this game. I actually thought Zion was a little selfish on a couple of drives late in the game, he had Trey and Poole wide open for swings. Z scored on those plays but 3 is always better than 2.

He's always been wildly inconsistent. He'll string together multiple games playing aggressive and before the Trigga gets "stuck" and he falls back to passivity. It's just who he is at this point. Hopefully the aggressive steaks last a little longer and the Stuck Trigga games are fewer.

Trey has regressed, especially since his usage has gone up. Nothing about this specific game. There’s a happy medium there between catch and shoot Trey and “facilitator” Trey.

The guy has not really gotten better under Willie Green. He’s arguably regressed. Get a real coach in here

This I believe is the product of tanking. If you lose for years you forget how to win
