Its very odd to me that you guys want to make changes and win games this year.

We need a legitimate QB. He's not currently on the roster and he isnt going to be a free agent. The only way to do this is through the draft. Winning even a single game just hurts us at this point. You guys are the same ones complaining that we didn't trade up lol.

I do think Mac jones is an interesting name in the 1st round qb rehab train and could do fairly well with a good offensive coach. But I think he had another year left on his deal.

I’ve said before we don’t want to lose another game and still get the first overall pick. Simple.

People like to complain. At least 3 years calling for tanking. Spend all offseason saying the team will suck and they won't watch. Spends every game complaining about losing.

This season is going great if you remove emotion from it

a loveable loser is still a fricking loser.
But yes, I agree embrace the tank the best we can

And who would that QB be?
I don’t see any out there that I would want this year.

I guess the reality is we want to see what Shough has to determine where we are at QB.

Why is this so hard to understand?

There isn't one in the draft. A bunch of 1 year wonder QBs that still haven't separated from each other.

What's odd is that you automatically make that assumption before Shough plays a down.
We really don't know what we have, and this season is pretty much shot. So why not give him some reps to see where we need to be at with the draft?
Keep in mind there's several starting quarterbacks that were drafted past the second round. Dak Prescott, Bock Purdy come to mind.
The point is we don't know that the next crop of top quarterbacks is going to be legit starters. For every Joe Burrow or Daniels you could have a Jamarcus Russell, or Ryan Leaf. The Cleveland Browns have proved that for years
And who's to say the free agent quarterbacks are going to do well? It took Sam Darnold and Baker to be on several teams before things finally clicked for them.
That's why all of us want a change to basically just to see what we have. Looks like we did well in the draft with Banks Stutzman, Riley, and Sanker.
Let's see if we hit on Shough too !!!

Everyone wants to tank until it comes time to tank

I dont want them to win more games. But I want them to see what their 2nd round QB looks like in the offense. That way they can go into the draft and know if they should take another QB or can focus on other needs. Unless Moore is going to roll the dice and go with Shough next year with no experience. If not he's a wasted second round pick which isn't a good look for Moore.

They would rather complain it was a wasted pick and hope they are right.
I think he will suprise people.

He didn’t waste the pick if Shough never sees the field this year. We have a ton of holes to fill on this team. I'm hoping to trade back and accumulate more picks and draft BPA. That means NO QB in the draft. We can sign a vet next year.

We have 3 or 4 wins in front of us

You can’t mail it in as a coach. Evaluations of your personnel are ongoing. You don’t want quitters on your roster. Every player is playing for their job.
The coach has to tinker and build for future success. It’s a fine line between accumulating future draft picks and outright tanking.
Players do subconsciously take on the attitude and work ethic of their coach.
Fans tend to mirror or strive against the existing coach. The previous head coach was an idiot and lost his team and the fans.
Most fans want to see progress and effort while realizing the personnel are just not good enough to close out games.
You are being one and zero in your thinking. It is not all or nothing. It’s foundation building with hints of a beautiful design.

No one thought Cam Ward would go #1 in October last year
