The city of New Orleans may not be able to pay any of its workers for the rest of the year.
Mayor-elect Helena Moreno and Councilman Joe Giarrusso said they held an urgent meeting Monday morning with Chief Administrative Officer Joe Threat. They said Threat told them the city’s cash flow situation is worse than expected and that the city may not be able to afford payroll through the end of the year.

Someone should let the EBT crowd know that illegals are still getting their freebies. That's what their democrat overlords think of them.

Can’t pay workers, can’t pay shite. Helena’s fix the streets campaign promise is DOA up in flames from Teedy’s world class travel for 8 years.
No first responders is no city. Move the Saints.

They just got paid early, because the mayor's office only budgeted $57K in overtime for the year, but spend $57 million.

I hope she is somewhat honest. But, she will probably be as corrupt as others.

With democrats, expect poverty and crime. Electing another Democrat isn’t going to solve the shite hole feature of that city. No matter how many smelly hipster transplants live in the gentrified areas.

Or even worse turning to the Federal government fora bailout. The answer should be short and sweet and to the point.

Fire half of them starting with DEI. Quit funding the nonworking people with rent payments.

Is that 57k for just the mayors department or for all city workers for overtime for the year?
