Only losing to Alabama. Then Ole Miss,Vandy and Bama all finish top 15. Would that be enough to get LSU in the playoffs?Maybe this team rally’s behind all this

9-3 is a hopeful dream. With the way Pavia played on Saturday, just wait and see what Reed will do. I don't see this team beating A&M, Bama, or OU. Hell even Arky could be a toss up.

Not likely. Our best wins so far are Clemson and Florida. Brand names that are currently on sale. Only way to get in is to win out. Also not likely.

No, especially not with independent Notre Dame looking like they are going to steal a bid

I could see us catching the 11 or 12 spot at 9-3, but a lot would have to go our way. We would probably need Bama 11-1, and OM and Vandy 10-2. In addition, A&M would need to finish 10-2 or better, with OU at least being a top 20ish program.

YES, wins over A @ M and a win on the road over Oklahoma and we will be 10th or 11th UNLESS, there are several 9 - 3 SEC teams and the committee screws LSU.

There may be a few teams who could get in with 3 losses but the 2025 LSU Tigers are no one of them.

You are right, our best wins are only Florida and Clemson - YET, we are still ranked. You don't think beating A @ M and Oklahoma on the road will get us in the top 11?

Have you caught the Arkansas scores the last two weeks. Close losses to Tenn and A&M. Most of us assume the hogs game will be a win for us. Will it be ??

As pissed off as I was Saturday, I can think of 3 distinct plays by the defense that might have changed the outcome.

2 over pursuits by Perkins off the right edge. Horrible inside angle that ended up using his speed against him. Gotta rush with outside leverage there.

Just before half with Vandy at edge of FG range. With a 3 man LSU rush, Pyburn concedes the edge by appearing to run his own twist (ok, maybe it was the inside guy who didn’t twist) which gifts Pavia a 15-20 yard gain and sets up the chip shot 3 befor half.

Pavia was definitely a baller Saturday but we had our chances and F’d them up. Maybe the magic of night in Tiger Stadium will let us get it right Sat.

It would have to be a 07’ type finish. We only have 2 losses. The season isn’t over. 10-2 incoming

No. Without a signature win this year, LSU shouldn't get in with two losses.

Playoffs are for teams that can make the case that they are the best team in all of college football and need to settle it on the field.

Do you really think LSU is the best team in the country? …or will somehow turn into it within a few weeks?

If the answer is NO then we have no business going to the playoffs regardless of how the season goes. If we beat A&M and Oklahoma it would only mean those programs must have imploded and all three of us deserve to stay home.
