I really think LSU just made a bad bet on Nussmeier

With all of our flaws, we'd be undefeated right now if we'd gone shopping for a Dante Moore or Fernando Mendoza like their teams did. BK has never developed QBs, but in this era that's not necessary (see Daniels, Jayden). Nuss is who he has been since year one at LSU, healthy or hurt. And he's being paid $3-4 million, so I feel no guilt blaming him (and BK for rolling with him).
I've no hope BK is going anywhere, so I'm gonna pin it all on a new OC and portal QB next year.

They've watched this cat for 5 years. If they couldn't tell by now he was doo doo, thats on the coaches.

Maybe. Or maybe not. Both of those teams are much better than LSU.

Yeah it's Nussmeiers fault that Ole Miss was getting pressure with 3
lol you fricking idiots crack me up. Peyton manning would look like dogshit behind a line with fricking DJ Chester at LT

It's his fault that he can't move to escape that pressure. How many times Saturday did some LSU defender have Pavia lined up in his sights but it turned into a good play for Vandy?

Nuss has gotten worse.
That’s proof of poor coaching. That should be impossible.

They gambled thinking he would improve this season. Instead he has regressed tremendously. Can’t blame BK for taking the chance. But Nuss just isn’t the QB he could’ve been.

The only QB this team would be undefeated with this season is JD5. This oline is straight trash. Nuss gonna leave the Bama game in a body bag.

Coach did Nuss no favors trotting him out there at less than 100%. Prolonged his injury and put a lot of bad performances out there for NFL scouts. Could have gone with MVB to let Nuss rest, get a better look at what MVB can do.
Sticking with the same old, same old under the circumstances tells us everything about BK. Doesn't have the stomach to try different approaches. Poor adjustments. We see it every week and every season.

Nuss didn't miss any tackles Saturday

Imagine Nuss having the 2nd best passing season ever for an LSU QB & we decide to go with someone else.
337/525, 4052 yards, 29 TDs
8 games with 300+ pass yds
Hindsight is 20/20 but come on guys.

If all the info about his work ethic is true, then he has to own it
It’s a mix of everything, IMO
Kelly is average
OL and OC are terrible
Nuss is Nuss

Didn't realize it was only $1.5M. OP is full of shite and should take back his criticism.

The NIL Top 10: Who are the highest-paid college athletes?
quote:
8. Garrett Nussmeier ($4.0 million)
After losing the Bryce Underwood recruiting battle to Michigan, LSU took extra steps to make sure it didn’t also lose its current quarterback. The Tigers gave Nussmeier, entering his fifth season with the team, a cushy $2+ million package to stay in Baton Rouge for what’s almost certain to be his final year before going pro. Nussmeier’s lofty NIL value, despite leading LSU to a pedestrian 9-and-4 record last season, is a result of both longevity and a well-known last name in football circles. Nussmeier’s dad, Doug, is a longtime offensive coordinator in both college and the NFL. His endorsements include deals with Powerade and EA Sports.
