Am I the only one satisfied with how this season is going?

Sure, I'm pissed the Saints got to this point, but it was obvious we were going to suck long before the season started. They clearly entered true tank mode the minute they didn't replace Carr with some vet QB. What'd yall think taking was? Vibes?! Did ya'll want to win last week? If so, why for fricks sake?

Any record between 5-8 wins blows the tank. We're playing young guys and seeing some signs Banks, Sanker, Riley, and Stutsman might be legit. Cap situation is only getting better. QB will get sorted out - Shough will start after the bye, or maybe for Carolina. Let Rattler grab us another few L's first, the see what the tall guy can do.

Anyone who is more upset now than before the season started just wasn't paying attention. The rest of us have been updating our draft board since May.

It’s hard not to get frustrated but overall I’m happy. Still annoyed with a lot of our veterans (Juwan, Werner, Ruiz), but the team plays hard for Kellen Moore and they don’t quit.

They’ve been competing and like you said we’ve seen som flashes from young guys. Thats exciting.

I think we may have hit on these guys, but it’s hard to tell.

I’ve been pleased with how Moore has the team playing given the roster.

I’d like to see Shough play at some point, but I’m still sure that’ll happen.

The main problem this season is all the supposed great college qb prospects have turned to shite.

That's OK. We're unlikely to have the 1st pick, so better to have a cluster of candidates. Then hope whoever's in front of us picks a Bryce Young or Anthony Richardson while we nab a Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, or Pat Mahomes later in their top 10.

Actually if we were winless… it would better our draft position.

Guys will gut- out the season.
They are getting paid good money so they are well compensated to endure the season.

Fans are pissed…. But what is occurring… is ultimately best in the longterm rebuild.

Alright… I’m prepared …
let the attacks begin !!!

Of course you aren't. Dozens of people are Falcs fans and they are very satisfied with the Saints season so far.

The Saints have competed in every game so far except the Seahawks. Even last week they were staring down a 40-burger loss and battled back to make them earn it.

The only thing I don't like is how every draft pundit big board doesn't have a QB near the top 5 anymore.

I'm really hoping we can get in a position to get a Bain, Downs, Reese, type player..

The games have been entertaining to watch. Might be because I've had no expectation to win any of them, but we've been more competitive than I thought we would be. Probably my biggest ray of hope is thinking if Kellen can get Rattler to play as well as he has, imagine how good we'll look with real talent back there!

PFT’s Week 8 2025 NFL power rankings

It's reassuring that the national media recognizes the Saints are doing some good things. Let's take the positives where we find them. No one's calling the Jets or Titans a "good" 0-6 or 1-6 team. I really think the Saints are tanking as well as can be expected.

I’m very pleased. I expected us to look a lot worse. This is what bottoming out looks like but the team is at least gritty.

I’m bummed for Kendre though. Kamara is at the end of his career and Kendre seemed to finally be coming into his own. We’re going to need 1-2 new RBs next year one being a more premium type of guy (3rdish round).

This roster needs a lot of pieces lol. I’m curious to see how the offseason goes. I’d like them to stockpile draft capital and just get a bunch of younger guys in the mix.

I think the offense should just play with tempo more often. Seems like Rattler benefits from the tempo and makes quick, decisive reads.

But the direction of the team is a definite positive. Continue to get younger, in better cap position, and hopefully hit another great draft.

I honestly thought we were going to be much worse than we are. We have been relatively competitive and have shot ourselves in the foot several times where we had chances to win. I was expecting more Seattle type losses.....

Let’s face it our roster sucks and if they don’t hit on their draft choices the next couple of years it will get worse.Unless ML moves on toe a new position I don’t see much improvement. Its all about the jimmies and joes and wasting a # 2pick on a guy not contributing this season gives me reason to pause.

I like how the season is going so far. They are losing but still playing hard. We get to see how the young players are developing. We need a top 5 preferably a top 3 pick next year. Hopefully we get to see how Shough can run CKM offense soon enough. Then draft accordingly. Seems like we got our offensive tackles sorted out for the next 10 years. Hopefully he turns out to be like Herbert was in '23 with Moore coaching him.
