I mean, if they make him get a real OC and keep baker, spend a crap ton in the portal anything could happen.

Dude we have a culture problem. Not a lack of talent. Bringing in more ridiculously overpriced free agents would most likely magnify thos problem, not solve it.

We need to clean house and build a tough, hard nose team that wants to compete.

As a fan it hasn't been fun watching LSU football since BK got here.

2022 and 2023 were fun. I disagree that none of it has been fun.

I do agree that last year and this year…. This ain’t fun and isn’t what I want my program to be.

No. Kelly sucks. Give him Mahomes at qb with the Lions roster and he would finsh 9-8. 100 mil or 40 mil. Its the same either way. He sucks.

It's always a good idea to have a talented team. But in today's NIL and Transfer Portal, no one can "stock pile talent." One can bring in as much talent as one can buy, but there's no promise they'll stay more than one year. And as we've seen this year, talent w/o coaching mean's L's, not W's.

No, you spent 20 million last offseason and you get pushed around by Vandy. This is the point where you quit paying stupid money for certain players during the offseason !!

22 was fun with the 2 pt conversion beating Bama.

23 was fun watching JD liht teams up all year with his arm and his feet but a lot of that was dampened by the shitshow defense we put on the field.

24 just continued what we were already becoming aware of with BK at the helm. Soft teams, inability to make adjustments in-game, lack of preparedness, throwing players under the bus, etc.

Are we going to trust this staff’s ability to pick out & recruit such STUD talent?

Nope

We've had more talent than any team we have played. We don't have a talent problem we have a team building problem which is squarely on Kelly..

What did we get for $18 million. Giving that clown $40 million will work out well. He’s not a good evaluator of talent.

We have a talent / development issue on the OL.

And we need a top QB.

Solve those 2 problems, keep everything else the same, and you would be a playoff team.

The problem is that the staff can’t solve the first issue on its own. That’s pretty clear.

The other problem is that next year will require a similar effort as last year. We will need to find interior DL. We will need multiple linebackers. And we will need at least one DB. Offensively we probably will need a WR or two due to attrition in addition to the OL.

As for the QB issue, we are buying a QB in the off-season one way or another.

I agree…with Denbrock there were multiple games in which we ran the ball down people’s throats to finish the game…that seems so long ago

Ah yes. Watching a Heisman winner and unstoppable offense wasted with a defense unable to stop a high school team was a delight!

BK said during the off-season that if anything, he knows OL and his history proves he knows OL and trust him (paraphrasing). This is when the entire reporting was how bad the OL looked.

How can anyone trust that now from what we've seen?
