Will the media ask any decent questions today?

We know Moscona, who talks down to the fans (and sometimes former players as well) will get 3 or 4 chances to lob softballs. Will anyone else step up to the plate?

When has the media, outside of like NYC tabloids, ever not lobbed softballs to the coach? It’s the same everywhere.

No they won’t.

But it would be hilarious if one of them said how was your vacation during the bye week and also what’s your handicap up to now?

Everyone on this board acts like they would ask tough questions or call the coach out, but in reality they would do the same shite if they were in their shoes because they don’t want to lose access

Lol last week he asked Kelly why he switched from an hat to a visor. Kelly said because during the summer the intense sun was burning his head

Well, Gordy rush won’t allow any of the local guys to ask anything relatively difficult. So the answer is probably no.

I fully expect a bunch of softballs by media members who talk tough on their platforms and wilt when they get in the room.

I'm curious to hear what some of you consider "decent" questions.

There are two kinds of questions that people ask at those things:
Questions that they expect the coach to answer, and questions that people ask just to say they asked a question (TV guys do this all the time).

If you ask something with an obvious answer, you're wasting valuable press conference time.
Questions have to be insightful and unambiguous. You can't ask, "Coach, your right tackle had one of the worst games in LSU history. Are you going to bench him and take his NIL money away?"
Kelly would never answer that.

If somebody asks him about being worried about his job, he will just say that he knows he has to coach better and prepare the team better. End of answer.

The thing is, Kelly is the most cooperative and forthright football coach LSU has ever had. Miles and Orgeron answered queries in a lexicon all their own. Saban never answered anything, except telling the media to quit dispensing rat poison.

No, no he's not. Saying something with conviction doesn't mean it's the truth. It's what message he wants to get out in public.

O was by far the most forthcoming, to a point where people here yelled at him for that.

None of the media want to lose their access, so they won’t say a word. They’ll wait until they get behind their own mic.
