Who is the face of the Democrat party?

Mamdani is the face on the East Coast. He's a straight ip communist that does not understand economics and is throwing around buzzwords like government run grocery stores and rent control to get elected. When he is mayor of NYC, it will be a disaster that will take decades to clean up.

Katie Porter is the face on the West Coast. She's a shrill beast of a woman that is reminding people that women in power is a really bad thing. She'll take the reins from Newsom and somehow make California worse, all while having a staff turnover of 100%+

Newsom cannot win a national election. AOC cannot win a national election. Tim Walz cannot win a national election. You look at the photos from today's protests and all you see is undesirables and misfits.

He's got a good chance of winning the Dem nomination. No chance he'll win the national.

None.

Which four states are going to flip from Trump to Newsom? That's the minimum he will need without Texas or Florida.

I think you are right about Mamdani but not about Katie Porter. She is a little known politician.

She's the next governor of California.

This is why I feel they will try and get Whitmer or Shapiro as VP.....I'm not sure if they would run Shapiro for.....reasons.... but 2028 is a good ways away for the plebs to forget stuff.

While I have very little faith in our electorate as a whole, even he can’t outrun his past/record when laid bare to general voters.

Right now the odds of that are less than 50%.

Amazing the real honchos on the left have let it get this bad. But they’ve lined up behind insane, wildly unpopular issues and moved way left of their traditional lanes for national elections. Now, the most vocal and well known of their candidates (AOC, etc) are jokes to most normal working people.

They need to gut their entire platform, ditch the ID politics obsession, re-center around the few moderates they have left, and get back to all the “working class people” policies they pretend to care about.

But they won’t. And they will continue to lose.

Was trying to explain this to a young relative. I wasn't trying to change their stance but they asked why I thought Trump won the election. Said basically the Republicans know not to go to far right and they will probably keep getting center/ center left voters. Or if the don't get those votes they wont vote for the democrat presidential candidates.

Don't forget many red states have redrawn maps. Also Dominion voting machines have been purchased by a right wing person who wants paper ballots associated. USAID has been neutered preventing funding for shady shite funded by taxpayers. Voter roles are being cleaned up and corrected. Illegals are fleeing the country with their potential fraudulent votes. The census is being corrected to not count illegals as population and on and on.

It is going to be very difficult for Dems to win by harvesting votes.

Kamala's book tour, as bad as it's going, is still getting some coverage by the corporate media. Of course they can't NOT cover her, but she's flat out awful. But she checks the boxes that Newsom will never. White , privileged, wealthy, male... He's literally everything the Dem party is against. But he'll sell his soul, so they're ok with that. Mostly.

Kamala & Gavin are on a collision course. And she's not taking the VP slot again.

The Dem’s biggest mistake was running Biden again in 2024 without a contested primary. They chose to hide him until they couldn’t and it was a disaster. By that time, they had no choice but Kamala. A candidate so bad in 2020 that she dropped out before a single vote was cast in the primaries.

I don't disagree. It should have been clear that Biden was going to be a 1 term president. I also think Walz was a bad pick.

Part of me thinks that the Dems kind of 'punted' the last election.

No state is flipping over a VP pick.
