That's amazing news considering Looney's injury. Will definitely help with rebounding woes.

Is someone really coming back early?

I doubt he would be back on opening night if he is just now being cleared for full contact. Would be great though. I would expect at least a week or two, but even that is welcome news.

This is awesome. He will probably need at least 2 weeks though to get up to speed

Don't think that's the case. He's been practicing. Just couldn't do contact practices. If he's in good shape like we expect him to be right now, I can absolutely seeing him play in game 1. Not crazy minutes or anything but he should be able to give the team the minutes they would have had to give to Dickinson.

I think he plays and why they aren’t making a move for another big right now…as much as I want to bring in Achiuwa or Bassey or Holmes

Meanwhile, opening night gets a bit easier:

Doesn't look like Looney's injury is bad.

Looney doesn’t need to see the floor unless Missi or Queen are hurt or in foul trouble.
I’m not sure we could have picked a worst center in all of the league to pair with Zion. There should never be a single minute this year where Zion and Looney are on the court.

Queen looks much quicker doesn't he? Trey/Herb got rid of the dreads. Queen shooting is going to open up the floor.

Queen is just such an intriguing prospect. His measurables are terrible for a man his size: he's got short arms and can't jump. But he's incredibly skilled, with the handle and playmaking abilities of a guard.

I think that Queen would likely have gone much later in the draft had Jokic not proven that an "unathletic" but highly skilled big man can dominate the league. Jokic also lacks long arms and can't jump, and it doesn't matter.

I can remember, during the peak Warriors era, lots of people saying that the era of the big man was over. Now? If they stay healthy, Jokic, Embiid, and Giannis could all finish top 5 in the MVP race.

Good bbiq isn't close to Jokic.

That being said - if he becomes a demarcus cousins lite - that's all I'm hopeful for

Pels beat the Grizzlies on opening night. It will happen.

I didn't claim that Jokic is a comp for Queen. I only said that Jokic proved that, for bigs, skill can compensate for a lack of athleticism.

Jokic's bbiq is why he gets away with being unathletic and Jokic being Jokic

That's what I'm saying.

I would love to have Scotty Pippen Jr on this team. He and Fears could make a great PG unit for this team one day. I would trade Jose in a second for Pippen. Very different player than his dad, not nearly as big but he’s a solid backup PG on a playoff team.

Need queen to be what many think he can be.

I just hope we don't hear any rumblings of weight or not taking his career seriously.

Well at least Willie is going to have no choice but to play Queen with our lack of big man depth while looney is hurt. Hopefully he’s ready
