Liam Hemsworth Didn't Think Playing The Witcher 3 Would Be Helpful For Playing Geralt

However, when it came to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Hemsworth did give it a go, but didn't think it helped him with his role as Geralt. "I had just started playing [Geralt] and I was like, ‘I don't know how many minutes or hours I can spend walking around as this character right now whilst shooting the show at the same time.’ So I had a quick look at it and it reminded me of what I experienced years ago when I played it.”

"But yeah, it didn't feel like it was going to be hugely helpful to my experience at that time,” he added.

Him and the show runners, it's why this is the last season and they lost the lead actor.

His ego didn't think he needed to, I agree with you though games as good as this are not made today.

Congrats on lapping up clickbait and being too damn lazy to actually read for more than 30 seconds.

From the actual article where he was interviewed which you would have seen linked had you actually read past the headline LINK

quote:

While Hemsworth had played the video games, particularly Witcher 3, which he calls “one of the best games of all time,” he was thrown by the “odd situation.” So he started digging into the books, “had a look at the show… And then I had a conversation with Lauren.”

The guy has already played it. He didn't think playing it again would be helpful.

Good job on being the thing you hate.

So you haven't played the game, the show didn't follow the source material, idiot.

IDGAF about what the showrunners have done before he signed on and that isn't what I was talking about.

You made a thread to specifically bitch about Hemsworth not playing the game when he has played the game. You would know that if you actually read the source of his quote.

So yeah, you ate the clickbait dude.

The game itself didn’t follow the source material apples to apples. The showrunners said ahead of S1 that the show would focus on the book version rather than the game version.

Now, the showrunners didn’t do that either, fricked it up, and are the reason Cavill didn’t reprise. However, I don’t see this as something to rip Hensworth about considering the article says he played the game in the past and the show is theoretically supposed to be based on the books instead of the games.

Maybe actually read the stuff you post. This title isn't misleading, it's just flat out wrong.

No clue about Liam. Poor guy is going to be remembered, undeservedly, as some kind of Yoko Ono. He has no chance.

But the showrunner has nothing but disdain for the source material

Considering the last season, this is like signing on to scuba down to the Titanic, take over as first mate, and wait until your air runs out.

First mate because Geralt was barely in S3. Ciri and Yennefer are the co-leads.

The Witcher is the supporting character

A common theme repeated time and time again, particularly with the comic book, sci fi and fantasy genres. These writers and directors think they can do better than the source material. It’s mind blowing.

I know that guy. But if you’d read the article you’d see that he has played the game. The title of the article is “he’s struggling to replay.” You know what replay means right?
