If the offense doesn’t put it together on Saturday I’m not sure it’ll ever will this year

Straight up it’s now or never. I hope the offensive room is lookin at that Vegas line pissed off. We are an underdogs because Vegas is saying they don’t respect our offense and why should they ? We’ve been erratic and inconsistent all year despite the loads of talent on that side of the ball. I hope that group takes it heart and comes out playing inspired turnover free ball.
Maybe I’m too damn optimistic but I truly like what I saw from that unit minus the turnovers vs SC . Nuss was playing wirh confidence, run blocking was the best all season, green is finally healthy and played like a monster , Parker was dynamic. We put up over 400 yards of offense without Aaron Anderson. Get him back and I think we are beyond due for the offense to finally play a complete game.

Well said baw. I agree. Its time for this offense to put up 30+.
If we win 20-13 i’ll be happy with a win but I wont believe we will make the playoff

Flynn’s film breakdown was really cool to see.
Confirmed what a lot have already been saying. It’s not as bad as it seems at times and there is real potential for a playoff run should things click

We’re 6 games in. Face it, it ain’t happening.

People have been saying this...that if we don't do it this week we're never going to, since the Ole Miss game at least.
I'm hoping we can get out there and win. I'd love to see them win by 21 points but I'll take 2 or 3 if that's all we can generate.

Don’t wanna hear that. Teams are allowed to improve throughout a 12 game season. They already did improve last week they put up a seaosn high in total yards against a p4 opponent. Turnovers left 14 plus points off the board we should’ve easily had at least 34 vs a solid SC defense

Step 1 is eliminate the turnovers

it's now or never because if they can't get it going the Aggies and Tide will both be tough sledding
and if you don't win 2 of next 3 the playoffs are over
Ideally you win all 3 take care of Ark and W Ky then Oklahoma is playing with house money

It must be awful being a player on a top 5 defense and knowing you have to carry every game.
Offense needs to do better… like yesterday.

If this team can throw for 250, run for 150+ and cut down on the turnovers, they may not lose again. I know you can't just write off the turnovers but LSU moved the ball really well for the most part against SCAR. If Hilton catches the ball, you threw for closer to 300 yards with 150 on the ground.
If LSU can generate 450 yards per game offensively, they will be a playoff team.

If it doesnt put it together Saturday then it wont matter. Vandy is must win, considering we have Aggie, Bama, and OU left on the schedule.
Lose this game we arent making the playoffs.

Agreed I truly believe we can beat anyone left on our schedule along with in the Country if the offense plays like they did vs SC minus the turnovers. The benefit to the A&M and bama games are both are revenge games we got embarrassed by both last year I think the team shows up fired up against both. Flat out have to handle business this Saturday tho. Death Valley will be absolutely electric vs A&M if we beat vandy

One of the nuss picks don’t happen also if Hilton catches that deep ball

The coaching staff has had all spring, all fall camp, and now 6 games.
I'm hoping for a miracle, but if the offense hasn't flipped the switch by now, it probably isn't going to.
We are what we are.

Yep. Just GOTTA clean up the turnovers but LSU with 250+ in the air and 150+ on the ground paired with this defense will win every game they play imo. That's the best the offense has looked all season to me. Just have to clean up the turnovers and you're good.

While it can certainly make small improvements (as it did this past Saturday), an offense isn't going to suddenly start scoring 35ppg and averaging 500 yards mid-season. We are what we are. A young OL that has with two portal guys trying to mesh with a new team/staff, new portal WRs trying to learn a new system and a new (to them) QB, and the lack of a true blocking TE anywhere on the roster.
Our D and ST will have to carry us this season. The offense can hopefully provide enough complements to give us a chance every game.

Normally I'd agree with this. But there's one obvious reason why you might be wrong, which is that Nuss was hurt and not his usual self the first five games. He looked better vs USCe. Bottom line is that this offense runs through him. It's virtually impossible to get anything going if he's not playing well. And there's a chance he's gotten over the hump with this injury and will play well from here on. If so, we have a true shot at being a really good team.

I've been as critical of the offense as anyone else. But it DID show improvement this past weekend. Notably with some mild adjustments in the running game approach. Setting aside the SLU game, LSU had its highest yardage output of the season. Especially in the running game where they averaged 5.5 YPA. That was the most this season for LSU...by a pretty significant mark. To put that in a little bit of context, 5.5 YPA would be in the top 15 nationally.
Obviously, you can't take away the turnovers which kept LSU from scoring at least 7, if not 14 points. But the offensive production was improved, and the likelihood of LSU fumbling at the goal line again is probably remote given that was the first fumble lost since the Clemson game.
The question for the Vandy game is were those changes just a brief one-game anomaly and LSU will go back to the status quo? Or, was that the start of meaningful changes to the overall approach which, if LSU can avoid the turnovers, may lead to an additional 10-14 ppg? Either way, you can't say LSU changed nothing in last week's game. They did...even if the turnovers ultimately prevented the scoreboard from reflecting it.

That's not how it works. You don't just flip a switch. You make daily progress. The OL played their best game against SC and Nuss finally looked somewhat like his old self arm strength wise. If Nuss can start to hit some downfield shots then the running game will open up. It's not like it's 2014 and Anthony Jennings is our starting QB and the offense has way to improve. Nuss when healthy has the arm to be deadly with this WR group and Green.
