The one vote against the proclamation came from Board Chair Kathryn Barger, who warned that the county’s action could provoke legal consequences.
"The federal government has sole authority to enforce federal immigration law, and local governments cannot impede that authority," Barger said. "We should instead advocate for meaningful immigration reform that is fair, pragmatic, and creates legal pathways for those who contribute to our communities."

Conduct a census that does not allow illegals to be counted as citizens and these sanctuaries will be ahead of ice in helping deportations.

Since 2015 the LA County budget has increased by ~45% (averaging an increase of ~6.3% per year). This year thus far they've had to make cuts due to wildfires, abuse settlements and loss of some federal money (the total amount isn't available yet but the cuts have been reported).
Now they are going to have to cut more to afford "rent relief" for illegals? If they want to shoot themselves in the financial foot over keeping illegals in the country, that's on them and the residents there get what they voted for.
