The sound system overwhelms everything else in the stadium and not in a good way.

The band, the crowd, everything. The bass even randomly thuds when they're honoring the cancer kids. It's just a constant assault on the senses. It's apparently a feature not a bug. For some reason they've decided it should be this way but it destroys the atmosphere. Tiger Stadium used to be known for its crowd noise, but why make noise when the sound system is exponentially louder than any noise the crowd can make?

Living in Houston, I make it back for one game in Tiger Stadium a year. I don't know if it is new this year, but it was the first time I noticed it. We were near Mike's cage and the sound and vibration of the bass was overwhelming. I thought somehow a car got through with obnoxious bass. It took me a second until I realized it was the sound system. It was terrible.

Luckily the sound of gunfire drowns out the obnoxious bass nowadays.

Some stupid CEO had survey done and got from the survey what he wanted, that constant stimulation with loud music is somehow conducive to a good time and it's what the crowd/fans want. Immediately big money was spent to upgrade the sound system.

CEOS manage projects they don't care about quality or outcomes or what the customer wants.

I hate the new super loud music filling every second of open time in any sporting events. But it is the trend now...from minor league baseball to college football and everything in-between.

Why even have a band?

It’s taken the crowd completely out. I do love the music, but it’s wrong place, wrong time. They missed the boat. The fans went from the face of the stadium and the reason you go, to know the fan is a viewer like at a concert. Which is ok, at a concert or other events. Tiger stadium relished on the fans being the show and being loud and rowdy to being a part of the entertainment. Not watching and dancing to the entertainment. We missed the boat bad and I don’t see a way possible to fix it

If the stadium wasn’t empty in the second half half of the games, they would not need to pipe in music

I agree 100%. I say it in the "fan experience survey" after every game. Anybody can have a loud sound system, that is NOT what made the Tiger Stadium experience special. At road games we used to laugh about stadiums that used the sound system to create stadium noise. Now we do it. Piped in music should be no louder than the band.

I do it for every survey. I am completely annoyed by it and it kills the environment.

i sat in 240 the last 2 years which is just to the left a few sections. i love crowd noise. i love being in the stadium when its peak LSU night time atmosphere, but those damn speakers make the entire night rough as shite. never had headaches leaving that stadium as much as i yell......but that constant bass just aint right.

I totally agree. Hadn’t been to a game in many years and it absolutely ruins the experience.

The fans and the band should be the show—not piped in music. Let’s hear the band between plays with Tiger pep songs.

We need to incorporate Mr. Brightside into the atmosphere that would be lit

Sucks and does not motivate or get the "crowd" into anything. The song selection sucks.

They need better engineers but you have to pay for that kind of expertise.

Audio/Visual/Control programming is my field but unfortunately I’ve had to leave LA to make the kind of money that is commensurate with my skillset.

It wouldn’t be hard to program in presets for each scenario.

The sound system sounds better than the old system plus you need it because after halftime the stadium is half full.

I’ll add to your gripe…

The honoring of crap at every time out kills any fan momentum. During timeouts it would be nice to have the band or DJ play something to keep the crowd going. Instead we get to honor the swim team for wining a meet last week.

Sounds like an NBA game.

College football fans are going to leave the sport.
