Family members and friends who complain about their kids bad behavior

And yet never discipline them. And when they step out of line on your watch and you have to, they get mad at you!

So. This is a hot topic.
Ive seen multiple familes, where the Father goes to discipline his child and the mother steps in and underminds him, tells the child he is not wrong. Multiple times.
That kid ended up having behavorial problems.
The father never gets to establish a pattern of disclipine in the child.
Its always a crazy liberal woman too.
Its nuts.
Both of these families went to family counsling after it started becoming a big big issue.
The thearpist, after called out the mother after a couple of sessions. The family quit going because the wife refused to go.

My mom had a belt and a bat. She raised boys.

That’s not a father, that’s a bitch

I heard a father yesterday tell his young son who was misbehaving horribly in public : “you’re gonna have to figure it out” and continued to allow him to act up. Any real man would’ve taken the kid home immediately.
Stop blaming women. A grown man is being undermined by his wife? Sounds like a personal problem and not a leader of a family.

When my 8 year old acts up I take him to the shed and have him weld for two hours, minimum. He’s learning a trade and building character.

Yep.
Leaders lead
Bitches blame
Men need to lead.

Not always. Sometimes a female’s motherly instinct to immediately protect takes over. You and your spouse have to have an understanding about that. On both sides, because fathers can do it, too.
Parenting is a team sport.

I’ve had to verbally get on a kid of my cousin’s before because they were way out of line. I don’t have kids, it was in front of their parents, I felt like total shite doing it, but the kid straightened up (for a few minutes) and everyone else at the barbecue gave me the silent “thank you” face after I did.
I came from a generation where your parents raised you, but be damned, EVERYONE in the family disciplined you if you got out of line.

My wife, mother, and mother in law are all as traditional as a woman can be. I've had to talk to all 3 of them about trying to undermine my authority when I was disciplining my sons.
Women just don't like to see their kids unhappy. Its natural and its easy to deal with if the women in your life aren't retarded. You have to be a man and do it.

100%
If everyone isn’t on board, the team leader (dad) has a job to get them on board. It generally takes speaking to all of them, and then usually having to monitor them, and particularly the grandmothers. They will spoil a child behind your back quicker than you know it.

I was afraid of the child catcher when I was small. The dog catcher for my dog. We both watched out pretty good.

Yes, there are horrible mothers out there but some of the worst kids I know have fathers in the house that just dgaf.
Which, hey, I get your wife might be a total pain in the arse and you fell out of love with her a long time ago, but don’t ignore your kids because you made a bad decision.
And please don’t send your bad as hell, disrespectful kids to youth group at church.

for the most part, in the past poorly behaved, anti-social kids were more than likely raised in some sort of bad, dysfunctional home. single mom, drugs, and alcohol, etc.
now it seems like there are a ton of kids being raised in more normal homes who have serious behavioral/development issues. this is just from talking to teachers and people in speech therapy.
everyone reading this probably knows a couple educated, married millennial couples with kids with serious issues.
