“ LSU head coach Brian Kelly: He's never quite fully fit at LSU, despite the winning (a 34-12 record, 5-1 and No. 10 ranking this season), so perhaps he takes a look. Like Franklin, it hasn't been enough to satisfy fans because of national championship expectations. Kelly is a Northeast native who spent most of his career in the Midwest at Notre Dame, Cincinnati and other stops. He has won everywhere he's been. It would be a splash to take a coach from a top-tier SEC school, too.”

He’d be an amazing hire for them. They should definitely do it!

He has a 13 million dollar buyout if he leaves in 2025. Dude ain’t leaving Indiana. He makes 8 million a year now and going to get a raise.

Who would LSU realistically target anyways?

Cignetti
Kiffin
Lashlee

?

Cignetti is a year older than BK, a young guru makes more sense. Lashlee is a wildcard if he would even succeed, but fun offenses for sure. Kiffin would be fun, with elite offenses, but he always loses games he shouldn’t. LSU fans would call for his head.

Lanning won’t leave.

I like Kelly, and I still think he can succeed here. If LSU fans really want him gone, the only scenario for that to happen right now would be him leaving on his own for Penn St. LSU isn’t going to fire Kelly, and he’s still owed 50-60 million at years end.

LSU fans need to be careful what they wish for. Had we missed on the last hire entirely LSU could be in the gutter right now. I still think Kelly can do it, even if most don’t. Let’s let these next 2-3 games play out. If LSU beats Vandy and A&M, playoffs are likely.

Yeah give a big sec program a black eye by stealing their coach,

because right now we are punching ourselves in the face.

Gruden has never coached in College at a high level. High risk, high reward, and I’m not willing to risk it. If that hire went south, LSU could go into the gutter for a long period. Yeah, Gruden would have good sound bites, but can he recruit, and navigate the portal and NIL era at an elite level? I seriously doubt it.

Ummm… we did

BK was the back up to the back up plan.

That’s why LSU had to throw a shite ton of money to get him to come.

Just list UNC and Bill Belicheck (I’m not looking up how to spell his name)

So who was our white whale? Lincoln Riley? He’d be doing no better than Kelly is.

Aranda? That would have been a disaster. Napier? An even bigger disaster. Franklin? He just got fired. Mel Tucker? Sheesh.

LSU made the best hire they could at the time. Proof is in the pudding on the other candidates considered.
