SIAP- did a search and came up empty but we watched The Substance last night and I’m not sure how I feel about it. Weird movie, sci-fi about a woman who is being aged out of Hollywood who finds a loophole to youth. Anyone see it?

Where is it streaming? I Haven't seen it but remember hearing about it.

Pretty sure streaming on HBO Max

I really enjoyed it. The last 15 mins or so gets silly, but everything before that is really good

This was like an all timer for the Cronenberg type body horror genre. I’d put it up there with the fly and a few others. It was shot in a really cool way too.
Margaret Qualley is so fricking hot in it

We enjoyed it. The last act is very strange and somewhat feels like a separate movie, but overall I'd recommend watching it!

Last act went off the rails

The search here stinks, Google the substance tigerdroppings and multiple threads come up

Wife watched it this morning and I caught parts of it. She loved it. Laughing the whole time.
Looked pretty cool to me but a lot of scenes ran overly long.

I still haven't watched it because dennis quaid stuffing his face with shrimp in the trailer made it unwatchable.

Sadly her bust was digitally enhanced.

Acrually had to mute the TV. I didn’t realize I had such a thing with sounds… and I get that’s the point of the scene but man did he drive it home

agree 100%, almost became a bad 80's movie at the end

If you see her in Honey Dont, you will be less impressed

Last part reminded me of something from USA’s Up All Night with Gilbert Godfrey.

...as was her rear end
I liked the movie up until the last 15-20 minutes. Then it went too over the top for me.

It was pretty original. I liked it better than Anora (which won a ton of awards at the Oscars). But, not a lot of dialogue in the film. Demi Moore was touted as a lock as Best Actress (but ultimately lost to Mikey Madison).
