I love a good debate and this guy makes some good counter points

"China is "on the brink," Laura?

You’ve been waiting for that "clarifying moment" for 30 years, and all you got was Detroit.

While the Wall Street Journal writes about "unprecedented" export controls, let’s recall who turned sanctions and economic warfare into an art form: the United States.

Afghanistan’s reserves? Frozen.

Venezuela’s gold? Stolen.

Russia’s assets? Laundered in broad daylight.

But when China, after decades of being the world’s rare earth foundry, finally decides to protect its own interests, suddenly it’s "disrupting the global economy"?

Let me clarify something for you:

The West built a system where power means denying others access, then acts surprised when the world learns to play by those same rules.

You say China thinks Trump’s desperate.

Maybe.

But it's the U.S. that’s sanctioned half the planet, weaponized the dollar, and now finds itself living in fear of every move China makes.

China isn’t "on the brink."

China is the brink.

The edge where the old order ends, and the new one begins.

You call this a clarifying moment?

It is.

It clarifies just how much the West depends on what it can no longer control.

So if there’s anyone on the brink, it’s certainly not Beijing.

It’s Washington.

Still pretending it gets to write the rules after burning the rulebook"

Incorrect. I said Commie China needed to be dealt with and Bessent was stupid for giving them multiple 90 day extensions

At the same time acting like we are shocked that China was not going to lay down and just take the Tariffs would be retarded. So I like to live in reality

China has basically said that they don’t care and can do without us altogether if necessary. They are already getting alternative deals.

Sure, they can get some alternative deals. But there’s 330 million people in the United States and China wants that market.

We have rare earth minerals in the U.S. tied up in litigation. Were president Trump to claim national security initiatives, he could unleash the rare earth minerals we have here. It will take some time to build up the infrastructure and processing, but we have it. Magnets would be problematic.

What China is doing is why Trump has been pushing so hard to return manufacturing and other homegrown industry here. You keep voting for a party that is just fine with giving up our national power and being subservient to a global hierarchy Clark.

You are defending a communist country. China cannot survive without us.

You guys would support Genghis Khan if Trump was against him.

China is absolutely on the brink.

A population brink. There are no women of child bearing age because of years and years of one child policy.

They are about to see a population crash that hasn’t been seen since maybe forever.

Kind of bizarre video at the End. When she says we put fees on Chinese ships because they are dominant in the industry

Saw a good post that said China has just started playing their hand and we have already played our last card.

Not good. We need them more than they need us unfortunately.

What a moronic take.

If this happened a decade ago…yes. 5 years ago…maybe.

China fricked up…bigly.

They allowed the U.S. to locate other sources of rare earth elements (cheaper no less).

China’s biggest issue at this point is a population time bomb. They have a metric frick ton of old people, and a population growth rate that won’t allow them to sustain their growth long term.

When Africa turns on them (and they will), China is two scoops of fricked.

Wrong.

China went all in when they should have folded.
