Supplies of that great fish must be getting difficult to obtain. Chicken is everywhere. One can see chicken houses everywhere down there when they fly from Dallas to Charleston SC.

Both taste like crap so no biggie.

I guess it’s the new chicken of the sea…

Their chicken is actually really good. Still an odd move

This is the new fad, client rage marketing—do something retarded to a nostalgic brand, create viral rage, and pray for a revival.
FYI - some of my fondest childhood memories involved that frankenfish kids meal when I got to pick the flavor cancer we ate on the road trip.

Imagine paying a marketing firm and the best the can come up with is the IHOB plan.

I did not know they were still in business

I see Long John Silver, but I have never met anyone that has eaten there.
There’s one down the road from me. I may give it a go

I get why they did it but they were always known as the fast food seafood restaurant.

Not sure that anyone will "rage" over them changing their logo from a fish to a chicken.
It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but nothing to get angry about.

Love me some LJS, but none in my area. I always look for one when I'm on a road trip.

I was in Kentucky and Indiana this past week for work, pretty sure those two states keep every 80s and 90s restaurant alive. I saw multiple Long John Silvers and even two Shoneys.

Yep. IHOP did the same thing years ago and “changed” their name to IHOB - international house of burgers. It’s all for free publicity

Bennigan's and Steak and Ale were both owned by the same Plano, TX-based company.
Supposedly Steak & Ale was revived in 2024 in Minnesota with plans for some more new ones in Texas. Haven't seen any yet.
Whenever I grill steak, I make a side of sauteed mushrooms using the Steak & Ale recipe.
