French/Catalina dressing on pizza. Didn’t realize this was just a MS Gulf Coast thing.

Go into any local Pizza Joint around here and you’ll find one of those two dressings available and people putting it on their pizza. My dad used to do it all the time. Now for the first time I’ve realized that literally no one else knows about or does this
What are some things in your life you’ve experienced like that? Where some little thing that you’re neck of the woods does all the time that just apparently doesn’t happen elsewhere?

My brother-in-law does that. He got it from college in the 2010’s. It’s gross.

I’m from Louisiana and live on the MS Gulf Coast. My wife does this and I thought it was weird. I tried it and it’s good but she won’t eat pizza without it.

I'm from Clinton and I've never heard of this.

It's Mississippi Coast thing. First time I saw it was in college with a guy from Gulfport in my fraternity.

Dressing on pizza is like steak sauce on steak.

I haven't see salad dressing, but tons of hot sauce on pizza seems to be a new trend.

Not substitute for the sauce.
Just strait on top.
Just strait on top.

I live next door south of I-10 in Alabama. I’ve never seen anyone do that over here at our pizza joints. I guess I’ll have to give it a try just to see what it tastes like.
Potato salad in your gumbo is something I was surprised to see people doing.
In Alabama some slather their smoked chicken in a white mayonnaise mix that has apple cider vinegar or vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, lemon, salt, pepper, sugar, and garlic powder. Sounds absolutely disgusting but somehow it taste good on chicken. If they don’t mop it on at the end they dip the chicken in it as they pull it from the bone. The stuff taste great to me.

Absolutely.
I made some homemade Comeback last weekend to go with fried green tomatoes.
Crechale's sells their sauce in the restaurant. You used to be able to get it at local Ace Hardware stores, but the last few times I've been home they didn't have any.

It's an extremely local thing. They do not do this in NOLA, Mobile, or Hattiesburg, let alone further away.
