I haven't had a beard until 2024. I may be an anomaly. I digress.

I started growing a beard in December of 2024. Before that, I would be asked for change at multiple gas stations. Not 1 this year.

Are you asking if it may make you look tougher so you’re not approached by beggars?

They figure if you can’t afford a razor then you’re probably broke.

I wouldn't dream of asking strangers if I should have a beard or not

This is a squarely trimmed beard, neck line is cleared. It's not you asking, its them asking.

I pretty much have to. I have curly hair, so if I clean shave a lot, I get some ingrown hairs that are hell to deal with.

I wore a beard continuously after college graduation until I retired 43 years later.
Shaved it the 1st day of my retirement.

Just for the hell if it.

I promptly grew it back.
Some people just look better with beards.

Of course not. But it does apparently make you look less homeless.

I have a beard.

I lift, BJJ and have decent cardio but still look like a goofy white guy.

Maybe because I wear short shorts and Peter Millar, I still get approached by the homeless outside of every dollar general.

To should just add this to your signature field so you don’t have to take the time to type it out in every post you make.

I've had one since 73 or 74 or some date in that century and forget I have it.

So you’re a clean homeless man.

That’s something to be proud of
